The Pond at Haytor Quarry, Dartmoor

Haytor Quarry is a beautiful spot and a lesser-known walk than the main Haytor rocks area. The pond is in the relatively hidden spot inside the Quarry where the pond is situated - a popular place for picnics!

It’s a lovely spot to explore with lots of interesting relics from its industrial past, and beautiful lily pads that flower during the summer. My illustration is a black and white hand-drawn pen illustration with colour illustrating the pond, reflections and lilypads.

This A4 high quality print is supplied unframed in cellophane with greyboard to protect.

My Local Landmarks series are a collection of hand-drawn illustrations that I have chosen to draw because they mean something to me - maybe I just love a building or the character, or have memories of fun family trips there, or I think they represent my home county of Devon in an interesting way.
